Why does community matter to us?

Because we know there’s so much to be gained from sharing our money management stories and offering each other support.
Here at QUBER, one of our major goals is to create a space where people feel comfortable speaking openly about their ups and downs with personal finance. Everyone makes mistakes with money sometimes, but the shame and stigma involved in speaking up about it is often what leads people to suffer in silence.

Our co-founder,
Jen, started QUBER as a response to her own struggles with money management.
Though she was making a good living, Jen found herself living paycheque-to-paycheque due to overspending and minimal saving.
She started searching for tools that would help her change her habits, but had no luck finding anything that worked - all the available apps were only pointing out where she’d made mistakes once it was too late to change them. After some reflection on how to tackle the problem using a different approach, Jen came up with the idea for QUBER. The rest is history!

  • Karen M.

“I was relatively good at saving to begin with but this has spurred me on to save more! It has also been informative. The articles are quite interesting and valuable.”

  • Marilyn S.

“With QUBER, it is easier to save because the money is out of my bank account and stored elsewhere where it is not as obvious or as tempting to take it out.”

“My mom gifted me [a money jar] on my birthday and taught me about saving money and how to work on my needs and wants. I have saved $1k from my birthdays, Eid and pocket money. I am saving more to help my mother.”
